Elijah LeBlanc
Senior, Meeker High School.
Elijah received a Gold Key and two Honorable Mention awards for his ceramic work. You can find his teapot “Rooted” on exhibition at the 40 West Gallery Exhibition. His other two pieces will be digitally displayed both at 40 West Gallery and the Denver Art Museum.
Besides being a prolific young potter, he is a gifted musician, snowboarder and Captain of the football team. He has helped lead Meeker High School’s Art program in many philanthropic endeavors, such as the Empty Bowls fundraiser that supports our local meals-on-wheels program for the senior citizens of rural Rio Blanco County. He is planning on studying Mechanical Engineering at Western Colorado University in Gunnison.
